London Map - Shopping and Markets
The shops and markets in London have long been a big draw for visitors. Whether these are the high-street chain stores or quirky market stalls, London has something for everyone:- Covent Garden Market with various markets, street performers and surrounded by shops and restaurants in the west end. Nearby are fashionable boutique shops in Neal Street and the like.
- Street Markets scattered around, among the more popular are Berwick Street in Soho, Portobello Road market and Borrough Market.
- Camden Town for Camden Lock Market (arts and crafts), The Camden Market (clothes), Camden Canal Village (almost everything), historical Stables Market and Inverness Street market. All clustered around Camden Lock.
- Oxford Street for over a mile of flagship, highstreet shops including Selfridges, John Lewis, stretching for over a mile from Tottenham Court Road to . Nearby is Hamleys toy store.
- Harrods - one of the most famous department store in the world in South Kensington, luxury shops around Knightsbridge and Slone Square.
London Map - River Thames Attractions
The River Thames passes many major landmarks as it meanders through London, as seen on this London map. Follow the Jubilee walk along the South Bank from Westminster Bridge to Tower Bridge and you will pass:- London Aquarium - full of fish, sharks and all kinds of water life, and the Salvador Dali Exhibition.
- London Eye - fly up to a bird's eye view of the London Skyline - one of the most popular attractions in London.
- Pass Jubilee Gardens and Hungerford Bridge to the South Bank entertainment area, with the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and National Theatre.

- Continue past the Oxo Tower and under Blackfirars Bridge to the Tate Modern gallery, the Globe theatre and Millennium Bridge.
- Explore Southwark Cathedral, the Clink prison and the Golden Hind, attractions between Southwark Bridge and London Bridge.
- The final stretch terminates at Tower Bridge, passing Hayes Galleria for shops and cafes, HMS Belfast, a floating museum, the More London development, outdoor Scoop theatre space, City Hall and then take a rest in Potter Fields Park before crossing the river to visit the Tower of London.
- Catch a river cruise from Westminster Pier downriver to Greenwhich or upriver to Richmond, Kew Gardens and Hampton Court.
Map of London - Royal Parks, Gardens and Squares
The Royal Parks are the most important parks in London, several linking together to form a great, green lung running right through the center of the city. Few, if any, other cities on earth can boast a collection of parks like it. Attractions in their own right and full of monuments, they include:- Regents Park with a boating lake, open air theatre, Queen Mary Rose Gardens, formal Avenue Gardens and open sports areas. With London Zoo and Primrose Hill and Regents Canal to the north, this is one of the most popular parks in London.
- St James Park next to Buckingham Palace and next to it Green Park.

- Richmond Park, famous for deer and great walking, Pen Ponds and Isobella Plantation.

London has a very good, integrated public transport network comprised of extensive bus and tube systems, overground railway and river ferries on the Thames. It is also well served by countless black cab taxis and mini-cabs.
