Grosvenor Square is in Mayfair at the heart of London. It is east of Hyde Park and just south of Oxford Street. The American Embassy stands on one edge, but this may soon move. The square is owned by the Dukes of Westminster, whose family name is 'Grosvenor'.
The development of Grosvenor Square started in 1710 and it became a highly fashionable and desirable district in London with aristocracy living in the surrounding houses.
