Kawaihae Uka Lookout - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
This panorama shows yet another of the climates on Hawaii Island. H250 rises into the Kohala Mountains from Waimea to enter a land of mists and temperate conditions. This reminded me more of Scotland than Hawaii, green, damp and cool. The lookout at Kawaihae Uka would look down to the Honokoa Gully, but this is lost in the mist. There were horses grazing in the fields below the road. Time to put the camera away before the mists and drizzle got into the electrics. The Satellite image does not go in far enough to place this with accuracy along the Kohala Mountain Road.
