This panorama was taken from North Quay, close to the Harbour Roundabout in Weymouth and shows a view over the Inner Harbour. The Chain and sinker moorings nearby along along Westwey Road and are available to Weymouth and Portland Borough Council residents only. At the far northern end of the harbour is a large marina managed by Dean & Reddyhoff. Boats and yachts always look better under a blue sky, but the weather was not compliant this time round. Entrance to the Inner Harbour is under the lifting Weymouth Town Bridge just visible to the east at the end of North Quay.

From Dorchester take the A354 about 8 miles south to Weymouth Once in Weymouth follow the signs to Ferries/Ferry Port. Weymouth is just north of Portland and Portland Bill. To get here from Poole take the A35 then the A351, then the A352, and finally the A353 to the Town Centre.
