I love exploring the cliffs around the lighthouse on Portland Bill. Crashing waves and open seas with salt and wind in the air. On a good clear day you can see for miles. The only thing missing in this panoramic picture is the sound of the waves and taste of salt. The cliffs are shear, so dropping into the water is not really advisable at this point, though many people scuba dive around Portland Bill. You can see the lighthouse on the top of the cliffs.

From Dorchester take the A354 about 8 miles south through Weymouth and then onto Portland and Portland Bill. The lighthouse is on the far southern tip of Portland Bill.
