This spot on the cliffs near to Portland Bill Lighthouse allows a better view up and along the western side of Portland Bill. Lots of people come to see the lighthouse and explore the cliffs here. The big rock on the end of this rocky shelf has climbing groves cut into it and a notice stating that it is dangerous to climb and to do so is at your own personal risk. You can just see it in this picture. Worth it though, as you can see from the panorama taken from the top of the rock.

From Dorchester take the A354 about 8 miles south through Weymouth and then onto Portland and Portland Bill. The lighthouse and these cliffs are on the far southern tip of Portland Bill.
