Panorama from inside the Wintergarden of Highcliffe Castle. Taking this image was a challange due to the different light levels. The Wintergarden is part of the 'Wedding Suite' (the castle holds over 100 weddings each year), and I expect it would be a fantastic place to hold a civil ceremony. The view over the gardens is lovely, and the piano at the far end just asks to be played. The door nearest where I am standing leads to one of the exhibition rooms, while at the far end of the room is the entrance into the Drawing Room.

This panorama shows the Wintergarden of Highcliffe Castle, whose large bay windows overlook a formal garden. This space is used for concerts and weddings. Highcliffe Castle is a very popular venue for weddings with over 100 civil weddings being conducted here each year. Couples can choose between having only the wedding ceremony conducted at the castle or also holding the reception here as well. Highcliffe Castle is currently undergoing significant changes to develop and extend the 'Wedding Suite'. The current Wedding Suite includes the Wintergarden and the Drawing Room. The expansion will also include the Octagon (currently the visitor entrance and shop) and a large Grand Dining Room. This is due to be completed early in 2008 and will provide a unique and grand venue for weddings in the Christchurch area. Nearby there are numerous luxurious hotels which may be used by both the bridal party and wedding guests.

Highcliffe Castle is about 3 miles from the center of Christchurch next to Highcliffe Castle Golf Club. From Christchurch take the A35 followed by the A337 (Highcliffe Road). Rothesay Drive is off to the right from the A337.
