Google Map Highcliffe BeachPhotographer Description of Highcliffe BeachThis part of the coastline is constantly under threat of erosion from the sea. The shingle beach is partly protected by numerous groynes spaced at regular intervals along the coast. You can see the zig-zag path leading up the cliffs to Highcliffe Castle. The land mass rising above the horizon of the sea a little to the left of the groyne is the Isle of Wight. On a good day the white chalk cliffs of the Needles are clearly visible, brightly lit by the afternoon sun.Highcliffe Beach - Further InformationPanoramic picture taken from Highcliffe Beach near to Highcliffe Castle. The shingle beach continues all the way along the coast to Hurst Castle near Lymington, which looks out over to the Isle of Wight.
