This panoramic image was taken from the Crown Estate land near to the lighthouse on Portland Bill. The Crown Estate lands are owned by the sovereign and open to the public. On warm days it is not uncommon to find people playing games, flying kites or relaxing on the grass here. It is worth taking the time to explore the surrounding cliffs. Near to here are a couple of pubs and restaurants serving refreshments, drinks and food.

From Dorchester take the A354 about 8 miles south through Weymouth and then onto Portland and Portland Bill. The lighthouse is on the far southern tip of Portland Bill.
