Wayland's Smithy - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
Wayland's Smithy is a chambered long barrow alongside the Ridgeway overlooking the upper Thames valley to the north and the Kennet valley to the south. Excavations in the early 1960s showed that this burial mound was built in two stages between 3590BC and 3460BC.
