Upwey Old School Village Hall used to be the local village primary school but has been transformed into a centre for arts and crafts events. The hall has a growing reputation for the number of exhibitions and activities that take place in the hall each year, and is also used for other social and community based events. The village hall also houses a permanent potters workshop used by the Upwey Potters who run a number of courses and programmes during the year as well as being a working pottery.

The Victorian hall is opposite to the Upwey Wishing Well Café and Water Gardens and next to the 13th Century church of St. Laurence.

Take the A354 north from Weymouth (south from Dorchester). About 4 miles north of Weymouth take Stottingway Street east which descends down a hill before taking a sharp turn north towards Upwey.
