Seatown Beach - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
Seatown Beach has a fair sized car park which is free. This area is popular for coastal walks, and many people head west from the car park up to Golden Cap, the highest point in Dorset, or east to Doghouse Hill. Both hilltops offer panoramic views of the surrounding coastline. Otherwise, fossil hunting or just sitting at the pub enjoying a drink are other popular pastimes. Often when I have been here there are walkers refreshing themselves at the pub after hiking along the coastal paths in the area.
Seatown Beach - FURTHER INFORMATION

The beach at Seatown is a shingle beach below a line of hills near to Bridport and Westbay. This beach is quite exposed with few amenities though there is a lovely pub which serves food. The beach is well known among fossil hunters for the beds of belemnites and amonites that are nearby within easy access of the car park. There are also some beds nearby that contain fossilized brittle starfish. Seatown beach is also the starting points for walks to Doghouse Hill, Golden Cap, Langodon Hill and Stanton St. Gabriel.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
From Bridport take the A35 West towards Lyme Regis. Turn left at Duck Street and then continue down the hill towards the sea.
