Google Map Sandbanks Beach - PoolePhotographer Description of Sandbanks Beach - PooleThis panorama of Sandbanks beach was taken late in the evening as the sun was setting over Poole Harbour. To the left the beach continues all the way to Bournemouth. To the right the beach terminates near to the Sandbanks Ferry which crosses the mouth of Poole Harbour to Shell Bay beach and Studland Beach. Miles and miles of sand and sea. You can see the chalk cliffs of Studland and Old Harry Rocks over the water.Sandbanks Beach - Poole - Further InformationSandbanks Beach is at the eastern end of the long sandy beach that stretches from Sandbanks, past Bournemouth Beach and Boscombe Beach to Hengistbury Head. The beach is very close to the Sandbanks Ferry. Sandbanks is also famous as one of the most expensive pieces of real estate in the country with most of the flats and houses here having panoramic views over either Poole Harbour, Poole Bay or both. There is ample paid parking, and good beach facilities here with restaurants, cafes, crazy golf and other activities. On the other side of the land spit is Whitley Bay, a part of Poole Harbour very popular with the Kitesurfing and windsurfing communities. The next chine between Sandbanks and Bournemouth is Branksome Chine, and it is possible to walk to this along the beach promenade which extends all the way to Boscombe from close to here.Travel and Getting There: Comments and Reviews.
