Eastcliff Beach - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
The beach at Eastcliff is normally full of people, as can be seen from the satellite picture of the beach. However, the day on which this panoramic photograph was taken was very windy, with the sand blowing along the beach. Therefore there were not many people about which gave one of those rare shots of an empty beach allowing a clear view along the sand as far as the eye could see.

Eeastcliff beach lies between Boscombe Pier and Bournemouth Pier. This panoramic image shows the beach close to the zig-zag path that comes down the sandy cliff from East Overcliff. Nearby is an old trolley that ascends the cliff taking visitors down to the beach from the numerous hotels that line the tops of the cliffs. The promenade here is known as Undercliff Drive, but is closed to traffic. There is a beach train then travels along the promenade regularly taking people to the various chines and piers along the sea front.
