Oxford Street and Dering Street - Further Information

Oxford Street is one of the main shopping streets in London, with over 300 shops along 1.5 miles. It runs from Totenham Court Road in the east through Oxford Circus to Marble Arch near Hyde Park in the west.

Among the most famous flagship stores on Oxford Street are Selfridges, John Lewis, House of Fraser and John Lewis. In addition many high street fashion shops, like Next, Nike and Adidas have stores here. These are often used for special events, celebrity promotions and launches.

Oxford Street is also famous for the annual Oxford Street Christmas lights, and the Christmas sales. At these times it can be very difficult to walk along Oxford Street.



Travel Directions and Getting There:
Tube: Bond Street (Central, Jubilee), Marble Arch (Central), Oxford Circus (Bakerloo, Central, Victoria), Tottenham Court Road (Central, Northern).
Bus: Various, Oxford Street is closed to normal car traffic.
