Wat Phra Ram (Wat Phraram) in Ayutthaya was built in 1369 on the command of King Ramesuan as the burial temple for his father, Ramathibodi I (King U Thong), the founder of Ayutthaya. The temple stands on the site of the cremation of King U-Thong.

The prang of the temple complex is Cambodian in style. It was renovated in the 15th and again in the 18th century. There is a large lagoon behind the temple which was originally called 'Nong Sano'. The name was later changed to 'Bung Phraram', and is presently known as 'Phraram Public Park'. Just to the south of the temple are ponds filled with water lilies. Wat Phraram is open every day to the public, there is an entrance fee.

Wat Phraram is on Thanon Phrasisanphet in the old town of Ayutthaya, close to the Tourist Information Office.
