This panoramic image was taken from the north end of the beach at Porto Cristo. Porto Cristo is a resort on the East side of Mallorca which has a small tasteful marina, an promenade running the length of the beach and exclusive shops and restaurants. The Bay at Porto Cristo forms the largest natural protection on the East side of the coast. A picturesque walk is to be found on the South side of the bay up to the light house. A good resort for families of the more discerning type, and a perfect point of access for exploring the Eastern coast by car.

To the South are the world famous Caves of Drach, one of the 'must do', and most popular tourist attractions on Mallorca. To the North are the more modern beach resorts and hotels of Sa Coma et al.

Porto Cristo lies 14km east of Manacor, and 60km east of Palam de Mallorca. From Palma take the MA-15 east to Manacor. From here take the MA-4020 (Carretera del Puerto) to Portocristo.
