A panorama of the village of Orient taken from the entrance to the Valley. Set in the Tramuntana Mountains of Mallorca, Orient has it's own
microclimate and remains agriculturall. The village has some fine hotels and restaurants.

As the road winds down into Orient you are afforded an perfect view of the village sitting on a jutting out hill surrounded by orchards and sheep farms. The village has cobbled streets, with a beautiful church sitting at the top of the hill, and the famous restaurant 'Mandelas' behind it. There are many fine mountain walks which originate from the village both in the direction of Soller, and also up to the castle of Alaro and along the waterfall system into Santa Maria, which are most dramatic after rain.

From Palma, take the Ma-11 north towards Soller. At Bunyola take the PM-210 east to Orient. This windy mountain road continues east and then south round to Alaro.
