A lovely setting for photographs, the valley of orient is a micro climate of difference from most of the island. Walks to either side of the mountain range take you to Soller and Sant Maria, and you can even get up to the Castle of Alaro.

Hotel Dalt Muntanya is a small, cosy and stylish agrotourism hotel in the rural setting of Orient, a village set in a very picturesque valley in northern Mallorca. The hotel itself is a tastefully refurbished Mallorcan house with an à la carte restaurant, small bar, swimming pool and pretty garden all of which make it hard for you to tear yourself away.

The valley of Orient is hidden in the the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range. This beautiful setting has a long and rich history for the fertility of the soils. The hotel is surrounded by orchards, forests and magical walks. Hotel Dalt Muntanya, in the midst of this tranquil setting, is an ideal location from which to explore rural Mallorca. For the independent traveler, Hotel Dalt Muntanya in Orient provides a calm and restful setting, only 40km from Palma and 20 km from the beaches of Soller.

All of the 18 rooms are on the first floor or above. Each room has an en-suite bathroom and central heating. Guests are welcome to use the hotel pool in the gardens surrounded by the mountains. The hotel has no lift.

The hotel is about 40km from Palma and the airport. From Palma, take the Ma-11 north towards Soller. At Bunyola take the PM-210 east to Orient. This windy mountain road continues east and then south round to Alaro.
