The Jardins del Mirador offer a great view over Barcelona. I cycled up the Muntanya de Montjuic on a hire bike, not something that I could recommend, the climb is steep and long, and there was still more to go to get to the Castell at the top. However, the gardens here made for a good rest point with panoramic views over the harbour. The rest of the gardens extended west from here up the hill, and contained numerous fountains and places to sit.

The Jardins del Mirador are almost at the top of the Muntanya de Montjuïc in Barcelona. The gardens are open 24 hours a day and offer fantastic panoramic views over Barcelona and the harbour. Because of this, the lookouts here are a very popular tourist attraction. There is a small (and expensive) refreshment stall and basic toilets in the gardens. Coach tours often stop here on the way up to the Citadel and Castle at the top of Montjuïc. The gardens of the Placa de la Sardana are just over the road.
