La Rambla de Santa Monica forms the southern end of the famous La Rambla of Barcelona, a long tree lined avenue that links Plaça Catalunya with the Christopher Columbus monument (Mirador a Colom) at Port Vell.
Rambla de Santa Monica is more open then more northern sections of La Rambla as the buildings are built further apart. Several important nearby buildings include the Muesu de Cera (visible in this picture), the Govern Militar, the Sector Naval Catalunya the church of Sant Joseph i Santa Monica. The Plaça Reial is also nearby.
