Barcelona Olympic Village - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
This panorama shows some of the buildings and sculptures of the Barcelona Olympic Village. The two towers, one now the Hotel Arts, dominate the skyline. The seafront promenade is very pleasant and links the beach and hotels here proceeding all the way along to Barceloneta Beach. The Torre de les Aigues was covered in scaffolding at the time and I was not able to photograph it.

The Olympic village of Barcelona is built on the sea front by the Port Olympic Marina. The village was built for the 1992 Olympic Games and has now been converted to other uses and contains the 4 star Hotel Arts Barcelona and Olympic Village Apartments. The hotel is in one of the two tall towers on the Plaça dels Voluntaris. These towers are the tallest in Spain with a height of 153.5m. There are numerous sculptures along the sea front.
This panorama was taken from Passieg Martim de la Barceloneta, which is just behind the Platja Passieg Martim (Beach of Passieg Martim), one of the beaches of Barcelona. Nearby is the Torre de les Aigues and the Parc de la Ciutadella.
