This panorama was taken from the Moll de Gregal jetty of Port Olimpic Marina. in the foreground are the numerous boats and yachts moored here. The furthest of the two towers that dominate the skyline is the 5 star Hotel Arts Barcelona. All around the marina are restaurants and bars. The marina is a moderately quite place with the gentle sounds of water on the hulls of the boats and wind tapping rigging against the masts, a characteristic sound common to marinas the world over. The Port Olímpic Marina of Barcelona forms the main part of the sea front of the Olympic Village (Vila Olimpica). The most prominent aspects of the skyline aside from the masts of the various sailing boats and pleasure yachts moored here are the two towers, one of which is now The Arts Hotel.

The marina lies between two of the beaches of Barcelona, the Passeig Martim beach and the Platja de la Nova Icària. It is connected to the beaches via wide promenades, one of which runs in front of the Olympic Village. Post the 1992 Olympic games in Barcelona, when the Port Olimpic hosted the Olympic sailing events, the marina now has 740 berths for boats and yachts. Port Olympic has all the facilities one would expect from a world class marina, and is lined with hotels, bars and restaurants to suit all budgets. Charter yachts and boats are available, as a short and long term berths.
