Parc Güell - Dragon Fountain - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
Getting a clear panorama of the Dragon Fountain in Parc Guell is an almost impossible task. The park rates as one of the most popular tourist attractions in Barcelona, with thousands flocking here to admire the works of Antoni Gaudi. Getting a picture taken in front of this fountain seems to be an essential requirement for each tourist. This panoramic image shows the view over the park. You can just about make out the fountain itself on the satellite view of the Google map of Barcelona.
Parc Güell - Dragon Fountain - FURTHER INFORMATION
Parc Güell - Dragon Fountain - Barcelona visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Parc Güell - Dragon Fountain' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Catalonia.
This panorama was taken from the famous Gaudi Dragon Fountain in Parc Güell. The lizard descends and guards the stairways that proceed up to the main terrace of the park. It is graceful and hypnotic, covered in multicoloured tile mosaics unmistakably characteristic of Gaudi. Back down the stairs is the entrance courtyard of Parc Güell, with the unique buildings designed by Gaudi on either side. Sadly, the Dragon Fountain was vandalized sometime in 2007.
A full list of events and further information about the park and other Gaudi attractions in Barcelona are available from the Tourist Information Office in Plaça de Catalunya.
