Parc Güell - Colonnade - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
This panorama shows the famous Colonnade in Parc Guell designed by Gaudi. This colonnade is close to the 'la Torre Rosa' house in which Antoni Gaudí lived. The house is now a museum. In this panoramic picture you can see the underside of the colonnade and the strange decorations of the columns, covered in rocks. Park Guell is a fascinating place to explore. and worth the effort. The park is, in fact, one of the more popular tourist attractions of Barcelona.

Parc Güell is one of the major tourist attractions in Barcelona, full of the strange architecture and sculptures of Gaudi. This panorama shows the strange colonnade near to the 'la Torre Rosa', the house in which Antoni Gaudí lived in Parc Güell. The strangely sloping columns have a purpose, they carry the load from the road above the enters the northeastern corner of the park. The strange formation of the columns have a distinctly organic feel, as if built by termites, or of strange rock formation. The provide some welcome shade when exploring the gardens around the house.
There are other panoramas from around Parc Güell which show the Entrance Courtyard, the famous Dragon Fountain and the panoramic views over the park and the rest of Barcelona seen from the Parc Güell - Main Terrace. A full list of events and further information about the park and other Gaudi attractions in Barcelona are available from the Tourist Information Office in Plaça de Catalunya.
