This panorama was taken from one of the dikes on the beach at Knokke. These dikes were originally built to protect the area around the 'Zwin' sea-arm, and created an environment for the development of Knokke on the way. The panoramic image shows the ancient brick dike and the sandy beaches of Knokke. The sea front is lined with hotels and apartments. The Casino is also on the sea front. The series of dikes protruding into the sea are clearly visible on the satellite view of the Google map of Belgium.

Knokke is about 17 km from Brugge. From Brugge take the N374/Noorweegse Kaai followed by the N49/Natiënlaan.
