Cala Carbo - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
A panorama of Cala Carbo taken late in the afternoon. The panoramic image reveals a small sandy beach in a protected and isolated little cove. This picture was taken late in the afternoon as the sun was getting low over the Mediterranean Sea, so part of the sky is bleached out.
Cala Carbo - FURTHER INFORMATION
Cala Carbo - Ibiza visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Cala Carbo' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Balearic Islands.
Cala Carbo is a tiny little cala on the western coast of Ibiza. Further south are Cala d'Hort and Cala Truja. To the north is Cala Vedella. Cala Carbo is a small, sheltered sandy cove surrounded by rocky hills covered in pine trees which hide several holiday apartments and villas, which can be rented. The floor of the cove underwater is a combination of pebbles and sand. The cove is very sheltered, providing good moorings for private boats. There is limited car parking.
There are no hotels on this beach, but one restaurant which provided fresh fish, lobster and other local dishes. Sun beds and shelter is available.
Travel and Getting There
By Road: Take the PM803 north from Eivissa (south from San Antonio) to Sant Josep (San José), which lies about halfway between the two. Just outside Sant Jose, on either side of the village are roads which leads to a number of nearby beaches, including Cala Truja. The cala is about 10 miles from San Jose.
