Cambridge is one of England's two famous university towns, always in competition with Oxford. The name comes from a bridge over the River Cam, and the town grew up around a Roman defensive fort on the river. This Cambridge map shows many of the sights, attractions and places of interest in the city in a unique way. On the map of Cambridge are markers showing the locations of over fully 360° panoramas that have been taken around Cambridge. The pins show the locations of the museums, parks and major sights of interest within Cambridge. Each panoramic image or picture is accompanied by some local and travel information.
This collection of panoramas provides a virtual tour of Cambridge. The map used is a Google map, it can be viewed either as a street map of Cambridge, or changed to show highly detailed satellite images of the city. A hybrid version overlays the road map of Cambridge onto the satellite image.
A full list of the panoramas linked to this Cambridge map is given on the Cambridge Panorama Index.
