Punting from Magdalen Bridge - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
The punts on the River Cam by Magdalen bridge seen here in this panorama are clearly visible on the satellite view of the Google map of Cambridge if you zoom in. If you follow the river along west, you can even spot a couple of punts being punted along the river. Punting on the Cam is a major tourist activity and attraction in the summer. Wearing a Straw Boater Hat is recommended. Loosing the punt's pole is not.

Punting is one of the must do activities for anyone visiting Cambridge, famous for the university colleges and punting on the river. This parramic image was taken from the Magdalen Bridge and shows the punting station on the river. From here people hire punts and then spend the next hour trying not to loose the pole. This bridge is close to the famous Round Church. Punters heading northeast from here will end up at the wier and footbridge over the Cam from Jesus Green.
The city of Oxford also has it's own Magdalen Bridge from which punts may be hired, showing that the two places are linked by more than their universities and the Boat Race which takes place between them every year on the River Thames in London.
