The Wesley Methodist Church of Cambridge is on the corner of Christ's Pieces, close to Christ's College, Jesus Green and Midsummer Common. It was in Cambridge that John Wesley began his 'Holiness Movement', and from here that a Christian renewal movement swept through the British Isles. It was never John Wesley's intention to start a new domination, but he was eventually forced to leave the Anglican Church who disagreed with his theology and methods.
