The Middle Mill Weir is a pretty place. As the name suggests, there used to be a working mill on the river here. As I was taking this panorama I ended up talking to someone who had family links with the mill itself. Today it forms a footbridge across the river.

Panorama from the Middle Mill Weir in Colchester. The weir is close to the boating lake of Castle Park, the park adjacent to Colchester Castle Museum, one of the main tourist attractions in Colchester. This is a weir on the River Colne which runs through Colchester and then continues through Wivenhoe to the coast.

Middle Mill Weir links the Cricket Ground with Lower Castle Park. It is close to St Peter's Street.
