I was cycling from Colchester to Wivenhoe along the banks of the River Colne. This was a fairly quiet spot and I decided to take this panorama over the river itself. I did not realize that in so doing I was potentially scaring off fish that an angler was hoping to catch. This panoramic picture shows the banks of the river and some of the suburbs of Colchester.

Panorama taken from the banks of the River Colne taken to the northeast of Colchester. There are walkways along the river almost all the way form North Station Road to Wivenhoe. On the way the river passes through Middle Mill Weir and along the banks of Castle Park, close to Colchester Castle Museum. The river is popular with anglers who can be seen fishing along the banks of the river.
