The Sensory Gardens are beautifully laid out and provide a very calming and relaxing garden next door to Hollytrees Museum. This panorama shows the brightly coloured garden beds and the wall of the museum covered in ivy. The small gateway to the north leads to the lawn at the front of the museum where the entrance is. In the middle of the garden is a small fountain, and it also contains a Japanese maple.

The Sensory Gardens are next to Hollytrees Museum in Colchester. The museum and gardens are very close to Colchester Castle Museum and Castle Park. This panoramic image shows the gardens and the museum building.
