Wivenhoe Quay - Rose and Crown Pub - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
A panorama of the quayside at Wivenhoe showing the boats and outside seating area of the Rose and Crown pub on the river. This panoramic picture was shot late in the afternoon and the tide is out, thus the boats are sitting on the mud. The area is very popular in the summer evenings, as can be seen by the number of people sitting outside. I took the image standing on a very narrow wooden jetty leading to one of the boats, suspended about 5 feet above a lot of mud.

This panorama was taken from the quayside of the River Colne in Wivenhoe outside the Rose and Crown Pub. The boats moored alongside the pub are sitting on mud waiting for the tide to turn and the water to come back in. The riverside has recently been redeveloped and now contains many luxury apartments. Wivenhoe has become something of a commuter village for those working in Colchester.
