River Seine at Quai de la Tournelle - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
The walks along the River Seine are very relaxing and a great way to see a different aspect of Paris. This panoramic image was taken from the south side of the Ile St Louis, the smaller of the two islands in the middle of Paris. The lit buildings fronted by a line of trees is very picturesque. It is hard to look at this photograph and believe that you are in the middle of the capital city of France.

There are beautiful walkways down along the River Seine as it flows through Paris. This panorama was taken on the footpath between looking over at Ile St Louis close to the Pont de la Tournelle which crosses over the Seine to the island. Further down river is the Île de la Cité, and the outline of the famous Notre Dame de Paris cathedral clearly soars above the other buildings on the island there. Also visible is the Pont de l'Archeveche which links the Quai de Montebello with Île de la Cité, and another good place to see the side of Notre Dame. The panorama also shows the small Pont St Louis which links the two islands together, joining the Île de la Cité on the corner of Square Jean XIII.
