This panorama of the inside of the apartments of Napoleon in the Louvre museum was shot by balancing the camera on the top of poles attached to the security ropes. It was far too dark to photograph by hand, and these provided the only flat surfaces around. It took about half an hour to get images without too many people in them. The long exposures make some people blurred in some of the pictures. In all, a panoramic image I am very pleased with.

This panorama shows sumptuous decor and furnishings of the apartments of Napoléon III, preserved within the Richeleiu Wing of Le Louvre Museum in Paris. The the remains of Napoléon himself are found in the Eglise du Dome.

These apartments are rich in velvets, reds and gold furnishings. A huge chandelier dominates the room and there are numerous elegant chairs placed around tables with chaise lounges. The walls are covered with paintings and gold plated, carved wooden panels. There is also a second panorama of Napoleon's apartments taken from the adjoining room.
