This room of the apartments of Napoleon in Le Louvre were a bit more brightly lit than the other I photographed. The exposure times were shorter (about 8"). Once again the flat tops of the security poles were used to balance the camera while taking the images needed to make the panorama. Because of the limitations, the resulting picture is not a perfect panorama, but certainly shows off these sumptuous rooms.

This panorama is the second of two that show the sumptuous decor and furnishings of the apartments of Napoléon III, preserved within the Richeleiu Wing of Le Louvre Museum in Paris. The the remains of Napoléon himself are found in the Eglise du Dome.

The room contains some unusual double chairs whose backs form an 'S' bend and whose seats therefore face away from eachother. The funishings of the room are very luxurious, mostly of gold plated wood with deep red velvet furnishings and curtains. The walls and ceilings are heavily decorated with gold plated wooden carved frames and panels, paintings and velvet wall paper.
