The fountain in the middle of the court was empty at the time this picture was shot, however, the satellite image of the Google map of Pairs shows water in the basin. This panorama was taken in the Cour Carée of Le Louvre in Paris. This is the eastern most court of the museum, and links to the Cour Napoleon via an arch under the tall tower on the west. There are also exits from the Cour Carée on the northern and southern sides.
