The Ecole Militaire (Military School) is at the southern end of the Parc du Champ de Mars in Paris. This panorama was taken from the Place Joffre in the park and shows the front of the school. At the other end of the park the Eiffel Tower (Tour Eiffel) rises above the Parisian skyline.

The Parc du Champ de Mars is about as large as the Jardin des Tuileries which lies between the Louvre and the Place de la Concorde. Walking up the park is the most dramatic way to approach the Eiffel Tower which gradually grows to dominate and command the field of view.
