Palais de Chaillot - Jardins du Trocadero - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
The promenade at the top of the hill on which the Palais de Chaillot stands offers a spectacular view over the Jardins du Trocdero and the Eiffel Tower, as seen in this panorama. The picture shows this most popular tourist attraction in Paris dominating the skyline. Panning round to the right the image shows the Musee de l'Homme on one side of the square at the top of the hill, and then the Théâtre National de Chaillot on the other. Not surprising then that this is also a popular place, the view is dramatic.

The Palais de Chaillot in Paris is new, built on top of the hill for the Exposition Internationale of 1937 on the site of the old Palais du Trocadéro which was demolished in the process. From the open plaza there is a commanding view over the Jardins du Trocadero, and across the Seine to the Eiffel Tower (Tour Eiffel). Beyond stretches the huge Parc du Champ de Mars with the Ecole Militaire at the souther end. The Palais de Cahillot contains the Musée de l'Homme (Museum of Man) and the Théâtre National de Chaillot.
