Pont Alexandre III is a bridge in Paris that crosses the River Seine linking the Grand Palais (Large Palace) and Petit Palais (Small Palace) in the north with the Esplande des Invalides and Hotel des Invalides in the south. The next bridge upriver is the Pont de la Concorde, and the next bridge down river is the Pont des Invalides.
Some people consider Pont Alexandre III to be one of the most attractive bridges in Paris. It is an Art Nouveau style structure built in 1900, and named after the Russian Tsar Alexandre III, acknowledging the good French-Russian relationship at the time.
To the far south in this panorama is the dome of the Eglise du Dôme which contains the remains of Napoleon. This is a popular tourist attraction in Paris. In the same complex is the Eglise des Soldats and the Musée de l'Armé. The two Grand Palais and Petit Palais are visible to the north.
