This panorama was taken in front of the Opera Garnier opera building of Paris. It was taken early in the morning, the building was closed, but I doubt I would have been allowed to photography the interior anyway. The inside has a huge hall with a grand staircase, and it would have been great to take a panorama of that. The square and streets outside are quite busy.

The Palais Garnier is also known as the 'Opéra de Paris', 'Opéra Garnier' or simply as the 'Paris Opéra'. It opened in 1874 and is use for both opera, ballet and other concerts and performances. From here the Avenue de l'Opéra heads southeast to the Palais Royal and the Louvre.
