Canary Wharf is synonymous with One Canada Square, more commonly known as 'Canary Wharf Tower' or simply 'Canary Wharf'. As a whole, Canary Wharf is a large business and shopping centre on West India Docks on the Isle, close to Greenwich in the east end of London. This is the newest business district in London, and provides high quality office space to leading international companies.

One Canada Square is the tallest building in Canary Wharf and the whole of London, reaching a height of 244m. It dominates the London skyline, especially when viewed from high points in the city like Parliament Hill, The Monument, Primrose Hill and the London Eye.

In addition to being an important business centre, Canary Wharf has become something of a tourist attraction. The area contains hundreds of shops, restaurants, bars and hotels, increasingly serving both the working and visiting populations. Canary Wharf is within easy access of the City of London. The area is sometimes incorrectly called 'Canary Warf'.
