360 panorama of the gardens of Square Villemin. This panorama was shot late in the day, and much of the gardens were in shadow. The panorama was hand held, as the keepers would not allow a tripod to be used here. This was not the first time that I encountered this kind of problem in Paris when taking panoramic images around the city.

Square Villemin is a public square and park in Paris next to the Gar de l'Est railway station. At the western end is the planted garden shown in this panoramic image. At the other end the park opens up to a large grassed area, as shown in the other Square Villemin panorama. The park is bordered on the east by the Canal St Martin, close to the Square de Recollets lock. Entrance to the gardens is through the old doors of the Villemin Hospital that used to occupy the site on Rue des Recollets.
