The Quai St Bernard in Paris runs along the southern side of the River Seine, from the western end of the Ile St Louis. The road passes the University and finishes at the Jardins des Plantes (home to the Grande Galerie de l'Evolution). The walkway along the riverside here is known as the Musée de la Sculpture en plein air (Museum of Sculptures in plain air). Created in 1980 it is an open air collection of sculptures from the second half of the twentieth century set among gardens. Featured artists include Brancusi, Gilioli, and César.
