Saint-Eustache Church (L'église Saint-Eustache) was built between 1532 and 1632. The church stands on the north side of the Jardin des Halles in Paris, close to the Forum and the Bourse du Commerce. The Eglise de Saint-Eustache is a Gothic building. It was so well known that king Louis XIV took communion here and Mozart held his mother's funeral here. The church was desecrated and looted during the French Revolution. During the summer L'église Saint-Eustache hosts organ concerts to commemorate the premieres of Berlioz's Te Deum and Liszt's Messiah here in 1886. The organ on which these recitals are played can be seen at the rear of the church in this panorama. A second panorama shows the apse chapel of Eglise Saint-Eustache.
Other nearby attractions include the Louvre Museum, Palais Royal and the Centre Pompidou.
