The church has an active food pro gramme of the homeless and disadvantaged of Paris. As can be seen in this panoramic image, the pews of the church have been replaces by chairs. The picture also shows some of the stained glass windows and high altar.

the church of St Laurent is close to the Gare de l'est and Square Villemin in Paris. There has been a church here since the 12C, however the current building is from the 15C. The choir dates from 1429, but the church has since been enlarged and altered. the facade was installed in 1865. St. Laurent was the parish church for both Vincent de Paul and Louise de Marillac.
