Saint-Augistin Church - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
Panorama of the inside of St Augustin Church. The best bit about the church was the 50m high dome, which is not visible in this panoramic picture. The inage shows the pulpit and high altar as well as the rest of the interior. The photographs for the panorama were taken near the dome of the church. This is off the beaten tourist track and there are not many people here.

The church of St Augustin stands on the northern end of Place Saint-Augustin in Paris. The church was built by the same architect who designed Les Halles in 1860. The dome is 50m high and the whole building soars to a height of about 100m. It is an iron frame covered in stonework, and the iron guilders can be seen inside the church. The dome of the church can be seen from Place de la Madeleine and the much more visited La Madeleine church (L'église de St-Marie-Madeleine).
