Cathedral Walkway - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
The fortifications around the cathedral of palma now provide an excellent vantage point for looking out over the Parc de la Mar, the bay of Palma and of course back onto the cathedral which we show here. In the Summer, there are daily activities in this section of the town which take place in the ampitheatre below this walkway under a sun shield. From the side of the cathedral it is possible to take a horse and carriage ride through the old town of Palma.

The walkway in front of Le Seu (Palma Cathedral) is known as the Passeo de Dalt Murada. It lines the old wall of the southern side of Palma in Mallorca, which used to border the sea. Recently a new wall sea wall was constructed along which runs Avinguda de Gabriel Roca (the Ma1 / Ma19 bypass road). The area between this road and the old wall has been converted into the , which has a large lake that casts beautiful reflections of the lit cathedral at night. During the day the park is busy with various cafes, galleries and other shops.
On Passeo de Dalt Murada is a little known monument, Ses Voltes, and next to the cathedral is a passageway leading through a gate to a hidden gem, the S'Hort del Rei Gardens. Passeo de Dalt Murada has some of the most expensive real estate prices in the whole of Spain. the Dalt Murada Hotel is named after it.
