Pyrmont Bridge is a swing bridge built between 1899 and 1902 and designed by Percy Allen. It was designed to be opened by splitting apart in sections to allow boats to pass underneath.
It currently carries the electrified monorail between Darling Harbour and Sydney's central business district and is open to pedestrian traffic only. Nearby are the Sydney Aquarium and Wildlife World and many shops, cafes, restaurants and tourist facilities.
